Personal Data Processed by Kerkcloud
Kerkcloud processes your personal data because you use our services, provide this data to us yourself, or use a website managed by Kerkcloud. This may include websites of churches or communities.

Special and/or Sensitive Personal Data Processed by Kerkcloud
Kerkcloud processes special and/or sensitive personal data only for specific services and exclusively on behalf of customers for whom we manage websites, such as churches or associations. A data processing agreement is concluded with these customers (data controllers), which is part of Kerkcloud's General Terms and Conditions.
In these cases, Kerkcloud may process the following special and/or sensitive personal data:
- Membership, friendship, or association with a church community
- Data of individuals under the age of 16
Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data
Kerkcloud processes personal data for the following purposes:
- Managing websites and associated profiles on behalf of customers, such as churches and associations
- Providing services for customers, including billing and communication
Retention Period for Personal Data
Kerkcloud does not retain your personal data longer than strictly necessary. The following retention periods apply:
- Customer data: Including invoices, retained for up to 7 years after the termination of the customer relationship
- Profiles/accounts: Retained as long as the profile or account is active
- Backups: Contain personal data and are retained for up to 6 months after being deleted
Sharing Personal Data with Third Parties
Kerkcloud does not sell your data to third parties. Data is only shared if necessary to fulfill an agreement or to comply with legal obligations. With companies that process data on our behalf, we conclude data processing agreements to ensure the same level of security. Kerkcloud remains responsible for these processing activities.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Kerkcloud uses functional, analytical and advertisement cookies. Functional and analytical cookies are necessary for our websites to function properly, for example by remembering your preferences. Advertisement cookies are used to analyse your browsing behavior. You can configure cookies using the link at the bottom of our website, or disable them in your browser settings.
For websites managed by Kerkcloud on behalf of customers, those customers are responsible for the cookie policy of their website.
Accessing, Modifying, or Deleting Your Data
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. This can be done via the personal settings of your account or website. You can also submit a request via [email protected].
Additionally, you have the right to object to the processing of your data or request data portability. To confirm your identity, we ask that you include a copy of your ID with your request. Please obscure your photo, MRZ (machine-readable zone), passport number, and BSN. We will respond to your request within four weeks.
